Our client is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with proven experience in tender management and importation of medical supplies. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective sourcing, regulatory compliance, and timely availability of quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables.

  • Prepare, submit, and manage tenders and bids in line with regulatory and client requirements.

  • Source and liaise with local and international suppliers.

  • Handle importation processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier terms to achieve value for money.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and contract documentation.

  • Monitor stock levels in collaboration with stores and sales teams to prevent shortages.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant procurement laws and standards.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably in medical supplies or healthcare.

  • Strong experience in tendering processes and bid management.

  • Hands-on experience in importation and international sourcing.

  • Knowledge of customs procedures, logistics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong negotiation, documentation, and supplier management skills.

  • High level of integrity, organization, and attention to detail.

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional certification (CIPS or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
