Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Registered Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and ensuring value-for-money on all construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural plans and prepare detailed quantity requirements.

  • Estimate costs and quantities of materials required for projects.

  • Prepare contracts, tender documents, and assess bids.

  • Set budgets and monitor payments, inventory, and project variations.

  • Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Provide cost analysis for construction, maintenance, and property management.

  • Advise clients on strategies, improvements, and estimated project costs.

  • Ensure compliance with property taxes, regulations, and local building laws.

  • Document project progress and maintain accurate reports.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.

  • Registered with a relevant professional body and holding a valid practicing license.

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes and cost management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork abilities.
