Location: Mwache Multipurpose Dam Project (KWALE)

Our client is looking for a Articulated Dump Truck Operator (ADT) to join the construction team at the Mwache Multipurpose Dam Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials such as soil, RCC, gravel, and rock across the site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate ADT machinery in line with manufacturer specifications and site protocols.

  • Conduct daily pre-start checks, routine maintenance inspections, and promptly report faults.

  • Perform safe hauling and dumping of materials to designated locations with correct load distribution.

  • Maintain cleanliness and assist in basic maintenance of the ADT.

  • Submit daily operational sheets to the Site Administrator.

  • Comply with all site safety, traffic, and environmental rules.

  • Collaborate with supervisors, foremen, and operators for smooth operations.

  • Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.

  • Adhere to assigned work schedules and shift patterns.

  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

  • Support other site duties when not operating the ADT.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience operating an Articulated Dump Truck in construction, quarry, or mining projects (MUST).

  • Strong knowledge of machine safety checks, site safety protocols, and equipment care.

  • Ability to read site maps, haul routes, and follow supervisor instructions.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge (advantageous).

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.

  • High sense of safety, responsibility, and personal integrity.
