Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Medical and Health Sciences Trainer to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, mentorship, and practical training that equips trainees with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in line with Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) and national occupational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and demonstrations in assigned medical and health sciences units.

Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and lecture notes based on the approved curriculum.

Prepare, administer, and mark internal assessments, and support students in external TVET CDACC examinations.

Supervise students during clinical rotations, industrial attachments, and practical training.

Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments, and attendance.

Provide mentorship, career guidance, and remedial support to trainees.

Ensure adherence to institutional policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Participate in exam invigilation, validation, and departmental reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Medical or Health Sciences field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Sciences, Theatre Technology, Public/Community Health, Applied Biology, Health Records).

Diploma in Pedagogy (Teaching Strategies) from a recognized institution.

Registration with TVETA as a Trainer.

At least 2 years of teaching or industry experience in the relevant field.

Strong knowledge of TVET CDACC training and assessment standards.

ICT proficiency and experience with digital learning platforms.
