Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Medical and Health Sciences Trainer to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, mentorship, and practical training that equips trainees with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in line with Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) and national occupational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and demonstrations in assigned medical and health sciences units.

  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and lecture notes based on the approved curriculum.

  • Prepare, administer, and mark internal assessments, and support students in external TVET CDACC examinations.

  • Supervise students during clinical rotations, industrial attachments, and practical training.

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments, and attendance.

  • Provide mentorship, career guidance, and remedial support to trainees.

  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Participate in exam invigilation, validation, and departmental reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Medical or Health Sciences field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Sciences, Theatre Technology, Public/Community Health, Applied Biology, Health Records).

  • Diploma in Pedagogy (Teaching Strategies) from a recognized institution.

  • Registration with TVETA as a Trainer.

  • At least 2 years of teaching or industry experience in the relevant field.

  • Strong knowledge of TVET CDACC training and assessment standards.

  • ICT proficiency and experience with digital learning platforms.
