The Head of Accounts and Finance will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, strengthening financial controls, and supporting decision-making through accurate reporting and forecasting.
🧾 Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Accounts & Finance Department

Prepare and submit financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Payroll, Tax Returns, Annual Financial Statements)

Oversee budgeting, monitoring, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (PAYE, VAT, SHIF, NSSF)

Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies

Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making

Supervise payroll processing and statutory deductions

Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders

Mentor and develop finance staff
🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred)

CPA or ACCA qualification
-
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in finance and accounting

At least 3 years in a senior leadership/management role

Strong knowledge of Kenyan statutory and tax regulations

Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
