Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Manage end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, confirmations, and exits

  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and HRMIS data

  • Prepare HR reports and support management with workforce data and insights

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Support implementation of performance management systems and disciplinary processes

  • Handle employee relations issues including grievances, warnings, and disciplinary hearings in line with labour laws

  • Promote positive employee relations and a safe, respectful work environment

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Support payroll preparation and ensure accuracy of employee data

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE, and other applicable regulations)

  • Coordinate leave management, attendance, and shift schedules

Training, Health & Safety

  • Support training needs assessment and coordination of staff training programs

  • Promote occupational health and safety practices in collaboration with production teams

  • Assist in implementation of HR policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field

  • Professional HR qualification (CHRP, IHRM, or equivalent) is an added advantage

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment

  • Proven experience in payroll preparation and statutory compliance

  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and employment practices

  • Experience managing shop-floor staff, shift systems, and attendance controls

  • Proficiency in MS Office and payroll/HR systems

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
