Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations within the hospital
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with healthcare standards
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for medical and non-medical staff
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment
  • Draft, review, and manage employment contracts and staff documentation
  • Set up and streamline HR systems, structures, and processes
  • Handle performance management, disciplinary processes, and staff engagement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies
  • Provide strategic HR support to management on workforce planning and development

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Higher Diploma in HR (IHRM) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ HR experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (mandatory)
  • Proven experience in setting up or restructuring an HR department
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and employee relations
