Are you a passionate and experienced Clinical Psychologist committed to transforming lives through evidence-based psychological care?

Our client, a leading Rehabilitation Centre, is seeking a highly competent Clinical Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals facing mental health, emotional, behavioural, and addiction-related challenges while supporting their journey toward recovery and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized clinical tools.
  • Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Manage clients with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and other psychological conditions.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation and relapse prevention programmes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, assessment reports, and treatment records.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, counsellors, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions where necessary.
  • Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary meetings, and clinical reviews.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families.
  • Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology (Mandatory).
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Kenya.
  • Valid practising licence will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification clinical experience, preferably within a rehabilitation centre, psychiatric hospital, mental health facility, or addiction treatment setting.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting psychological assessments and delivering psychotherapy.
  • Strong understanding of DSM-5/ICD diagnostic frameworks and evidence-based treatment models.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, report writing, and counselling skills.
  • High level of professionalism, empathy, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
