This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and technically skilled professional who can transform innovative ideas into high-quality, child-safe wooden products using CNC technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design 2D and 3D wooden toys and educational products using CAD software.
- Convert product concepts into CNC-ready machine files (G-code).
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines.
- Develop prototypes and refine designs based on testing and production feedback.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Optimize cutting paths to improve material utilization and production efficiency.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure precision, consistency, and excellent finishing.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure workshop safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and version control.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification in CNC Machining or CAD/CAM will be an added advantage.
- 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in CNC programming, design, and machine operation.
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Aspire (Vectric), and Fusion 360.
- Strong understanding of CNC routing, particularly for wood materials.
- Experience working with wood manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Experience in toy manufacturing or consumer product development will be an added advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
