Role Overview

The Animal Nutritionist will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and optimizing feed formulations to ensure nutritional adequacy, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The role supports production, quality assurance, and customer advisory functions to deliver high-quality animal feeds that enhance animal performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review feed formulations for different livestock species and production stages

• Ensure feeds meet nutritional requirements while optimizing ingredient costs

• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure accurate formulation and batching

• Monitor raw material quality and recommend suitable ingredient specifications

• Conduct feed trials, performance evaluations, and formulation adjustments

• Provide technical support and advisory services to customers and sales teams

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards in feed manufacturing

• Prepare technical reports, formulations, and product documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field

• Professional registration or certification in animal nutrition is an added advantage

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in animal feeds manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of feed formulation, raw materials, and production processes

• Familiarity with feed formulation software and quality assurance standards

• Good understanding of animal performance, feed efficiency, and cost optimization
