Reporting To: Warehouse and Sourcing Manager
Location: Warehouse Operations
Contract Type: Probationary (3 months), with confirmation based on performance
Key Responsibilities
Fresh Fruits & Vegetables (FFV) Operations

Manage FFV stock movement and ensure all transactions are accurately captured in the DMS.

Ensure 100% fulfillment of FFV sales order commitments.

Coordinate farm-gate purchases and transportation to the warehouse in line with quality and cost expectations.

Supervise field staff and casuals in sourcing and warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs and legal requirements.

Develop, review, and implement SOPs and product guidelines in line with GAP, government regulations, and Taimba quality standards.

Ensure all produce is properly graded, labeled, packaged, batched, and stored according to SOPs.
Ripening Management (Bananas)

Manage the full ripening and conditioning process from receiving to dispatch.

Monitor and control ripening parameters (temperature, humidity, airflow, and ethylene levels).

Ensure timely ripening and availability of bananas based on sales forecasts and dispatch schedules.
-
Maintain post-ripening losses below 2%.

Ensure proper batching, grading, storage, and handling of bananas before and after ripening.

Maintain accurate banana inventory records and conduct timely cycle counts.

Ensure optimal utilization and accountability of ripening assets (ripening chambers, gas cylinders, refrigeration).

Prepare and maintain ripening SOPs in line with food safety and quality standards.
Warehouse Management
-
Enforce FIFO principles and EOQ ordering to ensure zero stock losses.

Ensure strict adherence to warehouse SOPs and cleanliness standards.

Capture all warehouse processes through DMS and other company systems.

Reconcile physical stock counts against system balances and provide variance explanations.
Reporting & Analytics

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly FFV and ripening reports.
-
Maintain and update the banana tracker daily, including costing of ripening centers.

Provide accurate data to support business planning and decision-making.
People & Culture
-
Coach, train, and mentor warehouse staff and casuals.
