Salary: KSh 150,000–200,000 per month

Job Overview

The Group General Manager will provide leadership and operational oversight across the organization, ensuring that business activities support the company’s strategic objectives. The role involves coordinating business functions, monitoring performance, managing resources and supporting sustainable growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with relevant teams and management to improve operational efficiency, strengthen accountability and ensure that business units work toward shared objectives. The position is based at the Head Office in Langata, Kenya, with travel as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for business operations.

• Support the development and implementation of business strategies and operational plans.

• Oversee performance across business units and monitor progress against agreed objectives.

• Coordinate with department heads and managers to support effective day-to-day operations.

• Monitor financial and operational performance, including budgets, costs and revenue.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and service delivery.

• Support business expansion and the development of new commercial opportunities.

• Establish clear performance expectations and follow up on progress.

• Promote accountability, collaboration and effective communication across teams.

• Review operational challenges and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

• Ensure that business activities follow applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Provide management with regular updates on performance, risks and business priorities.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders.

• Travel as required to support operations and business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field.

• A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.

• Approximately 10–15 or more years of relevant experience in general management or senior operational leadership.

• Experience overseeing multi-site or multi-channel operations.

• Demonstrated experience managing business performance and operational resources.

• Experience working with budgets, financial performance and business planning.

• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate teams, manage competing priorities and support organizational objectives.

• Willingness to travel as required.

Skills and Competencies

The role requires a strategic and commercially aware leader who can translate business objectives into operational plans. The successful candidate should be able to work across functions, communicate expectations clearly and monitor performance against agreed targets.

Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills are important, alongside the ability to identify operational challenges and coordinate practical solutions. The candidate should also demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment and a commitment to continuous improvement.
