Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations within the hospital
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with healthcare standards
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for medical and non-medical staff
- Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment
- Draft, review, and manage employment contracts and staff documentation
- Set up and streamline HR systems, structures, and processes
- Handle performance management, disciplinary processes, and staff engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies
- Provide strategic HR support to management on workforce planning and development
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
- Higher Diploma in HR (IHRM) or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years’ HR experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (mandatory)
- Proven experience in setting up or restructuring an HR department
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices
- Demonstrated experience in contract management and employee relations
