Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouses and retail locations.
- Perform regular stock reconciliations between physical inventory and ERP/system records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances, losses, and discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare inventory valuation, movement, and aging reports.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure inventory transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
- Participate in month-end and year-end inventory closing processes.
- Coordinate and oversee periodic and annual stock counts.
- Monitor inventory controls and recommend process improvements to minimize stock losses.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis related to inventory.
- Liaise with procurement, warehouse, retail, and operations teams to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Prepare inventory-related reports and analysis for management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- CPA Part II or CPA(K) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inventory control within the telecommunications, electronics, FMCG, retail, or distribution industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Odoo, or similar inventory management systems.
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
