KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Driving business growth, operational scale and budget performance.
• Ensuring a quality loan portfolio while maintaining strong operational controls.
• Overseeing sales strategies and strengthening market presence to maximize lead generation and business opportunities.
• Setting clear performance objectives and driving teams towards achievement of institutional goals.
• Leading, managing, mentoring and motivating Business Development and field teams.
• Overseeing field operations and ensuring high levels of staff productivity and execution.
• Identifying and mitigating business and operational risks.
• Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Protecting company interests while operating effectively within a dynamic market.
• Managing relationships with internal teams, customers and other key business stakeholders.
• Using data, trackers and performance reports to drive informed business decisions.
• Spending approximately 75% of the time in the field, providing hands-on leadership and ensuring effective execution.

Minimum Requirements:

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Management or a related field.
✔ At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in a senior management position within the microfinance sector.
✔ Proven experience managing field offices and leading field-based teams.
✔ Experience in an environment offering secured lending facilities, particularly logbook financing.
✔ Good understanding and appreciation of microfinance and impact-based financial solutions.
✔ Demonstrated ability to lead performance-driven teams and deliver measurable results.
✔ Strong analytical, business insight and problem-solving capabilities.
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✔ Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Sheets, including tracker, records and data management.
✔ High level of integrity, confidentiality and ethical conduct.
